You may or may not have heard of this before but EES is Microsoft’s new licensing framework (Enrolment for Education Services) for the education sector, replacing the Microsoft Schools Agreement. EES takes many of the hassles out of license management because licensing is now based on your FTE staff value rather than the number of physical devices you have on-site. Your FTE value is your total number of staff who work more than 200 hours per year. EES is already delivering huge savings to schools as they upgrade to Windows 7 and Office 2010.
Some of the advantages of the EES framework are:
- Staff are able to install software at home as part of the Work at Home (WAH) rights
- Reduced administration through annual staff counts instead of regular hardware audits
- Software Assurance is included which entitles your school to product updates during the life of the agreement
If you are looking to upgrade to Windows 7 / Office 2010 and think Microsoft EES may be for you, then feel free to contact us on 01522 718248 or sales@avalon-it.co.uk
